Rashford Admits This Season Has Been His Best

Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford has admitted the 2022/23 season has been his best season since he got his debut for the club in 2015/16 season.

In United’s most recent away game against Tottenham, the homegrown talent scored his 29th goal of a strong season. And it was his shot that set up Bruno Fernandes’s game-winning goal against Aston Villa the previous weekend.

His primary goals are to win more trophies with his boyhood club and finish in the top four. With tonight’s match against Brighton & Hove Albion being a crucial one.

Rashford scored the second goal against Newcastle United at Wembley, securing the Carabao Cup. After the Red Devils’ Premier League commitments are through, they will have the Emirates FA Cup final versus Manchester City to look forward to.

In the previous derby match against the Cityzens, Rashford scored the game-winning goal. Setting up unforgettable celebrations at Old Trafford.

Premier League Productions as reported by manutd.com questioned him about whether or not this was his best season to date. He said: “Individually, yes. But the year when Jose [Mourinho] was here, we won three trophies. For me, it’s about the trophies.

“We’ve got the opportunity to secure Champions League football and the big one is to win another piece of silverware. That’s what we’re going to try to do. So that’s what the aim is now.”

In terms of setting personal targets at the start of each season, he said: “It’s probably more contributions [than goals]. I’m not fixed on just scoring goals. I love scoring goals, but I enjoy playing with my team-mates.”
