It is now well known that Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford is leaving the team after losing favor with manager Ruben Amorim.
Barcelona are particularly interested in signing the 27-year-old forward on loan for the remainder of the season, as has already been reported.
Rashford is reportedly prioritizing the Blaugrana over other suitors like Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan because he wants to play in Spain.
Any deal, meanwhile, was always reliant on Barcelona being able to clear up salary space by unloading a player or two in the current window.

According to earlier reports, Barca intended to let go of Ansu Fati to make room for Rashford. But the forward has refused to leave the team this transfer window.
As a result, attention turned to Eric Garcia, who has been attracting significant interest from Como and Girona. Rashford may have joined if the 24-year-old former Manchester City starlet had left.
However, according to Barca Universal, the Catalan giants have made the decision to keep Garcia on board because manager Hansi Flick is eager for him to stay. Following new discussions with the German tactician, the defender is also willing to stay.
As a result of this situation, Barcelona may no longer be considering a move for Rashford.
Barcelona need to make salary space for whoever they sign, therefore they are just not in a position to sign a new player without first selling.
