Fabrizio Ravanelli reveals he has just one fear for Italy against England in the UEFA EURO 2020 Final. ‘I worry the table is set for England after that scandalous refereeing performance.’
The showdown is at Wembley Stadium on Sunday at 20.00 UK time and both teams are unbeaten in the tournament so far.
“I expect a very tense and tight game, because both sides will have great respect for each other,” White Feather told Il Mattino newspaper.
“This is why it could be a match with few goals, but a very interesting tactical battle.”
It has been said that England have had home advantage throughout the competition, as all but one of their games were played at Wembley.
Italy will also have to rely on primarily the fans based in Britain who can get access to tickets.
“Playing at Wembley could actually be an advantage for us,” insists former Middlesbrough striker Ravanelli.
“We have experienced players like Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini, whereas for the English it could become an atmosphere of oppression even more than pressure.
“In reality, the only worry I have is that the table has already been set for England to celebrate. That penalty against Denmark was non-existent, a scandalous refereeing performance.”
Spanish pundits on El Chiringuito also commented that the Euros have been in favour of England, with the semi-final and Final based in London, as well as all but one of their matches during the tournament at Wembley.
They were also on the far simpler side of the draw, with Germany the only really big opponents they had to face down in the knockouts.
