RB Leipzig Star Disappoints Man United With Shocking Transfer Move

There had been rumors that Benjamin Sesko will join Manchester United but he has apparently chosen to stay at RB Leipzig.

After the Slovenian striker’s outstanding debut season in Germany, United, along with other Premier League teams Arsenal and Chelsea, were linked to signing him this summer.

Sesko’s debut season with Leipzig ended with him scoring 18 goals in 42 games, making him a player in high demand during the transfer window.

However, it appears that the Red Devils will need to focus elsewhere in light of the most recent information provided by Italian writer Fabrizio Romano on the player.

The 21-year-old has “decided to stay” with his present team and is anticipated to sign a new deal soon.

There is some positive news for United in this regard since Sesko’s new contract contains a “gentleman’s agreement” that will allow for a future exit when both parties determine the timing is right.

The athlete signed a five-year deal last summer, and his current one was set to end in 2028, reports Manchester Evening News

However, his long-term future has now been guaranteed to preserve his worth.

Sesko’s current contract was said to include a €65 million (£55 million) release clause, but it is now most likely gone after better conditions were negotiated with the German side.

England is in the same group as Slovenia, therefore English clubs will have a closer look at the forward during the European Championships in Germany this summer. The last Three Lions match in Group C will take place on June 25 between the two nations.
