Real keen on Chelsea starlet despite bumper deal

Real Madrid are being linked with a move for Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi despite the fact he only recently penned a new deal. The 18-year-old was in hot demand earlier in the year and it looked as though he could be leaving Stamford Bridge after becoming disgruntled with his lack of game time under former boss Maurizio Sarri.
Bayern Munich wanted to do a deal but Chelsea knocked back at least one bid and insisted their young starlet was not for sale.
Since then, Sarri has left and Frank Lampard has taken over, and suddenly the future at Chelsea is a lot brighter for the winger.
So much so, he penned a new five-year deal last month, reported to be worth £120,000 per week. Despite the contract, that is not stopping reports that Real are keen to get him.
Real president Florentino Perez is said to have put the young attacker near the top of his wanted list and is determined to get him on board at the Bernabeu.
Such a deal looks highly unlikely for now. Chelsea will have no intention of selling and Hudson-Odoi will be happy to play regular football after recovering from a serious Achilles injury.
It means Real will have to turn to other transfer targets as they look to bolster their squad with young attacking talent.
Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, Red Bull Salzburg’s Erling Haaland and Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz are also among those to be linked to the Spanish giants.
