Real linked with Monaco starlet

Real Madrid are reportedly monitoring the situation of Monaco defender Benoit Badiashile with a view to a future bid. The 18-year-old jumped to the attention of scouts last season when making 26 appearances in all competitions for the principality outfit despite his tender years.
The France Under-19 ace has continued to turn heads in 2019-20, starting 10 of Monaco’s 12 Ligue 1 games to date.
He has been a shining light in an otherwise ordinary campaign for Les Rouges et Blancs although they have rallied of late, with three wins from five to move up to 15th in the table.
Monaco have seen a number of their young stars move on after cutting their teeth at Stade Louis II, with the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Fabinho, James Rodriguez and Youri Tielemans all departing before going on to achieve bigger things at other clubs.
It seems Badiashile may well follow suit, with an exclusive report from Spanish outlet Defensa Central suggesting Los Blancos have shown more than a passing interest.
The youngster’s contract is up at the end of next season and so Monaco will probably be open to offers as it is highly unlikely he will pen fresh terms, with big clubs sniffing around, and they will not want to lose him for nothing.
The SC Malesherbes youth star was linked with a move to the Premier League last summer, with ambitious West Midlands outfit Wolves reportedly keen.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were said to be happy to pay £35million for the youngster although a move failed to materialise.
