Ozil’s praise
Speaking to the media in a recent interview, Real Madrid and Turkey legend Mesut Ozil praised Real Madrid midfielder Arda Guler and called him a special talent.
“I see a lot of myself in Arda Guler,” he said via TRT Spor, in what comes as high praise for the youngster.
He elaborated on the significance of such young players in today’s football environment, saying, “We need to protect talents like him.”

Despite ongoing injuries at Real Madrid, Guler has not played many minutes under Carlo Ancelotti this season, and the manager’s use of his services has been critically questioned.
So far this season, he has only started six games and made 16 appearances in La Liga, scoring one goal and providing three assists.
His last appearance was in the Copa del Rey against Leganes, and he has remained on the bench for the team’s following three games.
With his lack of playing time not improving, it remains to be seen whether the player will seek a trade in the summer.
Given his fighting spirit, he may choose to stay and prove himself under Ancelotti, waiting for his chance to shine.
