Real Madrid are reportedly preparing to make a bid in in excess of €100m (£88.5m) to sign Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham.
After excelling for both club and country over the last few seasons, the 19-year-old is expected to become one of Europe’s most sought-after midfielders when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
Bellingham left boyhood club Birmingham City in 2020 to join Dortmund, where he has since improved his game, scoring 19 goals and providing 21 assists in 112 appearances across all competitions.
The teen also played for England at the 2022 World Cup, scoring his first senior goal in a 6-2 group-stage victory over Iran.
Bellingham’s contract with BVB runs until June 2025, but the German club are expected to receive a number of bids for the midfielder, with Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Paris Saint-Germain among those interested.
Meanwhile, Los Blancos are said to be confident of luring Bellingham to the Santiago Bernabeu, with Carlo Ancelotti hoping the teenager will be the club’s next Galactico signing.
According to ESPN, Real Madrid are willing to spend well over €100m (£88.5m) to sign Bellingham in 2023.
According to the report, the current La Liga and Champions League holders are convinced they will be able to expedite transfer negotiations with the player, his representatives, and BVB in January.

Bellingham is reportedly a priority signing for Los Blancos, and they are hoping that the relationship between club president Florentino Perez and Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke will help to seal the deal.
Bellingham is set to meet with Dortmund in the new year to discuss his long-term future with the club, with the Bundesliga club still hoping to keep the midfielder.
