Real Madrid are reportedly not interested in signing their former star Cristiano Ronaldo despite the Portuguese’s desire for a reunion.
The veteran striker is set to leave Manchester United in the January transfer window after severing ties with the club during an explosive interview with Piers Morgan. Ronaldo had previously requested a transfer in the summer, alleging that he had been “betrayed” by United.
The club has already begun the process of cancelling the balance of the two-year contract he signed to return to Juventus.
Chelsea, Napoli, and Atletico Madrid have all been linked with a bid for his services. According to SPORT, the veteran striker has offered his services to former club Real Madrid.
However, according to The Mirror, Real Madrid are unlikely to sign Ronaldo or any other striker in the January transfer window despite the fact that their star player Karim Benzema was forced to withdraw from the World Cup through injury.
That is undoubtedly bad news for Ronaldo, who is seeking a reunion with his former club.
He is presently the club’s all-time leading goal scorer, with 450 goals in 438 games at the Santiago Bernabeu. That incredible record undoubtedly helped the Spanish team win four Champions League titles, two LaLiga titles, and many other honors.

Ronaldo hinted about retiring from Real Madrid after helping the team win the Club World Cup in 2017.
Although a return to the Santiago Bernabeu appears doubtful, Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes is reportedly trying to negotiate a transfer out of Man United.
Ronaldo is currently training for the World Cup in Qatar, and he is expected to play in Portugal’s opening game against Ghana on Thursday.
