In an unexpected move, Ancelotti chose academy youngsters over Jesus Vallejo, a veteran team member who has clearly fallen out of favour at the club.
This decision highlighted Vallejo’s dwindling prominence in Ancelotti’s tactical ideas.
Despite the hard scenario, Vallejo has kept a professional attitude and continued to practice diligently. He recently shared training photographs on social media as a sign of endurance.

Vallejo has played only 11 minutes this season, against Alaves at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid was leading 3-0 at the time of his debut, but the game finished 3-2. Despite a defensive crisis, his only contribution thus far has been a brief cameo.
The way forward for Vallejo appears uncertain. Despite his consistent training efforts and professional demeanor, it looks unlikely that he will receive additional playing time under Ancelotti.
