Recently, there have been several Spanish stories claiming that Vinicius Jr., whose Real Madrid contract expires in 2027, is close to signing a contract that would keep him at the Bernabeu until 2030.
However, the Brazilian’s entourage has categorically dismissed those rumors.
According to Vinicius’s agents, Real Madrid has only formally offered to extend his contract once and hasn’t presented any new terms since the player made a counter offer.
Vinicius desired a pay, more in line with Cristiano Ronaldo’s £25 million yearly wage while he was in the Spanish capital.
A possible deal is more difficult to reach because those amounts are still significantly less than the £166 million that Saudi Arabia is allegedly offering him, reports Four four two.
Manchester City is therefore anxiously observing from a distance as they are ready to repel interest in one of their star players.
Real Madrid has previously stated that Erling Haaland, a striker for Manchester City, is their “dream” replacement in the event that Vinicius leaves.
