Real Madrid ace, Dani Ceballos is reportedly feeling good and is ready for more minutes of action after making a return against Villarreal just before the international break.
After recovering from a Grade III ankle sprain sustained during a game against Real Betis, on a night when Carlo Ancelotti had given him a rare start, Ceballos had been out for six weeks.
For the Spanish midfielder, who had played little in the previous season and had barely made an appearance to that point in the new campaign, the injury’s timing was especially harsh.
Sources close to the player tell Madrid Universal that Ceballos is feeling fully recovered from his injury and is “hungry” to resume his activities.
Ceballos put in a lot of effort to speed up his recuperation, even though the early estimates called for an eight-week recovery period. Club authorities have commended his commitment to physiotherapy and supervised workout sessions.
After three weeks of recovery, the Spaniard was already running again under the guidance of Jose Carlos Garcia Parrales, the club’s rehabilitation coach.
Ceballos only had one complete training session with the team before being called up for the Villarreal game. But he has recovered his competitive fitness over the current international break.
According to the midfielder’s entourage, he is “hungry” to contribute on the pitch.

Although it’s a good thing, Ceballos’ return gives Ancelotti a selection dilemma. Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, Fede Valverde, Jude Bellingham, Luka Modric, Arda Guler, and Ceballos are the seven midfielders now available to the Italian manager.
This abundance of midfield alternatives will be essential as Real Madrid continue to steer this season.
