Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos is the most recent member of the team to complain about the El Clasico refereeing. In his opinion, Spain teammate Gavi ought to have been dismissed from Sunday’s El Clasico.
The most recent match on Sunday night served as further proof that the two are gradually developing into one of the more fiery contests available in El Clasico.
When the game was paused earlier in the season, Ceballos was observed yanking Gavi’s hair.

Meanwhile, Gavi was seen taking out Ceballos off the ball in the latest Clasico installment at the Spotify Camp Nou.
Ceballos said in an interview with El Chiringuito that his La Roja teammate should have been sent off for it, and Diario AS has quoted him on this.
“It’s true that I got up a bit quickly, so de Burgos [Bengoetxea] didn’t pay too much importance to it, but we have talked about it and we feel it’s a clear red.” (El Chiringuito)

“(Laughs), Well I think it’s clear no, it’s red?”
“Because it’s a play where he goes for me without the ball, the team was attacking. It’s true that I got up a bit quickly, so de Burgos [Bengoetxea] didn’t pay too much importance to it, but we have talked about it and we feel it’s a clear red,” Ceballos recognised.
However Ceballos and Gavi have since made ammends, according to the Real Madrid midfielder.
