Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe has become a matter of state in France, as have his interactions with French President Emmanuel Macron over the years, with the latter purportedly having a role in Mbappe’s choice to reject Real Madrid two years ago. Mbappe has now asked French voters to vote against Marine Le Pen, his toughest political competitor and the leader of France’s far right.

Following Macron’s centrist alliance’s crushing loss by the far right, a snap election was announced in France, and the French will vote again on June 30th and July 7th. France and Inter forward Marcus Thuram had stated that he would vote against Le Pen and the right, and when asked about it, Mbappe agreed.
“I share Marcus’ principles; in my opinion, he hasn’t come very far. “I support freedom of expression,” he added, as quoted by Marca.
Mbappe stated that Les Bleus had a role to play in the future of the country, beginning with their match against Austria on Monday night. He also would vote against Le Pen.
“I am against extremists and those who divide. There are some young individuals who abstain, and I want to offer them this message. Their voice has the power to change things. I want to feel proud of defending a country that reflects my principles. This is more significant than the game tomorrow because the situation in the country has changed. I support the ideals of diversity, tolerance, and respect.
However, Mbappe has enough weight to step securely, and he is not voicing a radical viewpoint.
