Fede Valverde’s wife ripped down Carlo Ancelotti and some of his Real Madrid teammates on social media during Tuesday night’s Champions League loss to AC Milan.
Cracks are beginning to appear at the Santiago Bernabeu, with a new-look assault starring Kylian Mbappe failing to find its rhythm, and the European champions were punished by the Rossoneri in a 3-1 home defeat.

It was Real’s first encounter since being thrashed by Barcelona at home, and the club’s Ballon d’Or was absent after boycotting the awards ceremony in protest at the decision not to give Vinicius Jr world football’s most prestigious individual title.
Valverde, the Uruguayan international who took Toni Kroos’ No.8 shirt this season when the German retired, has been a consistent performer in recent seasons. However, he was viciously hooked at halftime on Tuesday, and Aurelien Tchouameni, who had been whistled by Madrid fans in the first half at the Bernabeu, was also substituted at the break.
Valverde has been asked to play in a wide midfield role at times this season as Ancelotti attempts to balance his squad, with the Italian hoping to have Mbappe, Vinicius, Rodrygo, and Jude Bellingham all in the same lineup. During the defeat to Milan, his wife, Mina Bonino, took aim.
In respond to to a Madrid fan on Twitter, Bonino wrote: “Fede excels as a midfielder. What exactly are you talking about? When will they finally comprehend that Fede is not a winger?”
When another user criticized Valverde for his role in Morata’s goal for Milan, Bonino responded, “He’s playing as a winger.” Did you know? I seldom see forwards getting chastised for not dropping back, but the moron who is everywhere is.”
