Following his admission that he may leave Real Madrid in January, readers of influential Madrid newspaper MARCA have voted that they would be behind a decision to sell James Rodriguez.
The former Monaco man cut a frustrated figure in the wake of the side’s Club World Cup triumph in Japan and admitted afterwards that he could be forced to depart in order to receive the regular playing time which has been hard to come by at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
A MARCA poll asked readers if the club should get rid of the Colombia international in January and more than 3,300 people registered their vote.
The narrow winner were those who would be in favour of selling the playmaker, with 57 percent of the vote.
However, a not inconsequential 43 percent of people would still be happy to see him remain with Los Blancos.
