Carlo Ancelotti and company were embarrassed by their second poor performance of the season against the Catalans, who have already won both of their Clasico matches this season with an aggregate score of 9–2.
Last night, Barcelona ruthlessly revealed Real Madrid’s defensive weaknesses by tearing apart the backline, with Lucas Vazquez and Aurelien Tchouameni in particular suffering greatly.
According to Madrid Universal, Real Madrid would be open to exploring the possibility of signing a new right-back before the January transfer window closes.
But after Liverpool rejected their offer for their top right-back target Trent Alexander-Arnold, Los Blancos will probably make another attempt to acquire the Englishman.
It has become evident that Lucas Vazquez will not be dependable at right-back for the remainder of the season without Dani Carvajal.
Alexander-Arnold is still very much up for grabs, and Real Madrid would be open to the idea of adding a new right-back this month.
However, Liverpool has been certain that they do not want Alexander-Arnold to leave in the middle of the season, particularly because the Reds are vying for the Premier League championship.
Thus, as Real Madrid attempts to recover from their Super Cup loss, it is unclear how things will turn out.
