Real mull move for Milan’s Calabria

Real Madrid have been linked with a swoop for AC Milan right-back Davide Calabria. Calabria came through the Rossoneri academy and made his debut at the back end of the 2014-15 campaign.
The 22-year-old established himself as a regular last season with 33 appearances across all competitions and has featured in six Serie A games, with his only absences coming through suspension.
Real are on the hunt for a new full-back as they are growing frustrated with current right-back Alvaro Odriozola.
Reports in Italy claim Los Blancos have apparently set their sights on Calabria and could make a move in the January window.
Calabria is under contract at the San Siro until 2022 and Milan will be keen to keep hold – although they would struggle to turn down a big bid as it is understood they need to sell before they can buy in the winter window.
The Italian is thought to be Real’s top target but the report adds they have other options should Milan refuse to sell.
RB Leipzig’s Lukas Klostermann and Algeria international Youcef Atal, who plays for Ligue 1 club Nice, are also rated as options for Real as they seek to bring in some defensive reinforcements in the January transfer window.
Real don’t have a match this weekend as they were due to head to Barcelona for the first El Clasico of the season but that game has been postponed until December, with the Madrid giants next in action on Wednesday when they host Leganes.
