Harry Redknapp has backed Manchester City to win the title – and has claimed it will be “the end” for Arsene Wenger if Arsenal don’t finish in the top four.
The former Spurs manager said: “I’d be with Man City to win it, then Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham.
“Arsenal have not been out the top four for 20 years. If Arsenal don’t make the top four, it is absolutely Arsene Wenger’s last season as manager. That will be the end if they don’t make the top four; they’ve got to make the top four.”
Redknapp told Betsafe: “Antonio Conte has done a fantastic job in Italy and a great job in the Italian team, they’ve been excellent in the Euros, so a big signing for him, but they don’t come any bigger than Guardiola coming to Man City, Conte going to Chelsea and Mourinho going to Man United.
“It’s incredible that they’re all in this country, and they’re all managing in the Premier League. It’s going to make for an exciting Premier League but at the end of the day there can only be one winner. They’re all going to be expecting next year to win the league, because they’ve all invested, big managers, big players.”
City have also started to spend the cash with Leroy Sane and Gabriel Jesus following Nolito and Ilkay Gundogan through the door at the Etihad, though Paul Pogba’s arrival could make it a straight shoot-out between the Manchester clubs.
“I think Liverpool have almost dropped out the top four; it’s almost as if he can get back into the top four next year he’s going to be picking that top four, the four Champions League spots.
“It’s very difficult because there are six or seven teams next year and three of them are going to be very disappointed, big managers, big budgets and everything else that goes along with it and they’re suddenly going to have disappointing seasons.”
