Reed relishing trip Down Under

Patrick Reed says he’s relishing the prospect of going to Australia for the first time after being named in the USA Presidents Cup team. Tiger Woods has now confirmed his four picks for the United States for the event down in Melbourne next month, with Tony Finau, Gary Woodland and Woods himself making the team. Reed, who is currently playing at Montgomerie Maxx Royal in the Turkish Airlines Open, says he is already looking forward to heading Down Under. “It’ll be my first time in Australia and I can’t wait,” Reed said. “I hear the fans and people over there are amazing. “I look forward to it and getting those crowds riled up, that’s kind of what I like to do. It’ll be fun. I can’t wait to go out and play the best I can.” Brooks Koepka, Patrick Cantlay, Bryson DeChambeau, Dustin Johnson, Matt Kuchar, Xander Schauffele, Webb Simpson and Justin Thomas make up the remainder of the USA team to face an International outfit. The action at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club takes place between December 12-15.
