Schalke defender Sead Kolasinac has been told Arsene Wenger will be in charge of Arsenal next season ahead of his potential move to the Premier League.
The Gunners have begun planning for 2017/18 season and are making it clear in negotiations with new or existing players that the Frenchman will not be replaced in the club’s hotseat.
According to The Mirror, Arsenal believe they have won the race to sign Kolasinac on a free transfer in the summer after the left-back chose not to renew his deal with the Bundesliga side.
The Bosnia-Herzegovina international will compete with Nacho Monreal as the Gunners’ first-choice right back one he puts pen to paper on a reported four-yeal at the Emirates Stadium.
In a similar vein to how Bellerin has made turned his role at right-back into one of the most important sources of attacking thrust for Arsenal, Sead Kolasinac is a full-back with power, pace and a readiness to get forward that enables to Schalke player to turn defence into attack in an instant.
The 23-year-old’s creative numbers and duel success rates suggest he can offer Arsenal extra quality at both ends of the pitch.
