Manchester United are considering a bid for Borussia Dortmund right-back Thomas Meunier, according to reports.
Erik ten Hag is expected to sign five new players, including a right back, in the remaining two weeks of the transfer window.
Ten Hag’s current first-choice right-back is Diogo Dalot, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka slipping down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
Three years after signing Wan-Bissaka for £50m, United are willing to loan or sell the 24-year-old who is not in Ten Hag’s plans.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Wan-former Bissaka’s club Crystal Palace are willing to pay £10m for the right-back, which would result in a £40m loss for United on the Englishman.
Wan-Bissaka started last season as the club’s first-choice right-back, but he lost his starting spot to Dalot with the arrival of interim manager Ralf Rangnick and has played only eight times since the end of November.
The defender, who has two years left on his contract, has made 126 appearances for United in all competitions and provided 10 assists.
Palace are not the only team interested in Wan-Bissaka, who is said to be on Barcelona’s shortlist.
According to the Telegraph, the Red Devils are hoping to replace Wan-Bissaka with Meunier, and a fee of roughly €15m (£12.6m) has been proposed to Dortmund.
It is presently uncertain whether BVB would be willing to move the 30-year-old Belgium international, who has three goals and seven assists in 62 games for the German giants since signing from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2020.

United could encounter competition from Barcelona for the signing of Meunier, who has two years left on his contract at Westfalenstadion.
United are believed to prefer a move for Meunier over a move for Sergino Dest, who is valued at roughly £17m by Barcelona and is deemed surplus to requirements by head coach Xavi.
Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters, Bayern Munich’s Benjamin Pavard, and Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries have all been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
