Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan reportedly prefers a move to Arsenal rather than Chelsea.
Mkhitaryan scored 23 goals in all competitions this season but he has turned down a new contract with the club.
Agent Mino Raiola recently revealed that they are considering Mkhitaryan’s options, with reports linking him to a move to the Premier League.
According to the Sun, Mkhitaryan is keen in joining Arsenal and the Gunners are leading the £20m chase to sign the free-scoring no.10.
This season in the Bundesliga, Dortmund came second and they made it to the final of the DFB-Pokal only to be beaten by Bayern Munich in both competitions.
Mkhitaryan was a key part of their success, either playing in the No.10 role or out on the right flank where he cuts inside.
If the free-scoring no.10 was to leave, he would become the third major Borussia Dortmund player to leave this summer, following in the footsteps of Mats Hummels and Ilkay Gundogan who have joined Bayern Munich and Manchester City respectively.
Arsenal finished second in the Premier League, their highest finish in over ten years, and they will be in Champions League for another season next year.
By contrast despite having a new manager in Antonio Conte, Chelsea will not be in Europe as they finished tenth in the league.
