Mesut Ozil’s future is in major doubt, despite Arsenal offering him a stunning £280,000-a-week to stay at the club, reports claim.
The Germany international’s current deal expires at the end of next season and there are genuine fears that he will seal a transfer away from the Emirates this summer.
Alexis Sanchez is already expected to quit the club after their humiliating 10-2 defeat on aggregate to Bayern Munich in the Champions League, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s future is also in doubt.
Arsenal had hoped to keep Ozil at the club by breaking their wage structure but he is refusing to commit to a deal, according to the Mirror.
The 28-year-old, who currently earns £140,000-a-week, believes he can earn more money elsewhere, despite Arsenal willing to spend more on him than any other player in their history.
Sanchez has also been offered a new deal in excess of £200,000-a-week but looks highly likely to leave.
Chelsea and Manchester United have both been linked with a move, although Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are the favourites to land him.
