The racist incident involving Richarlison during Brazil’s 5-1 friendly victory over Tunisia on Tuesday in Paris has been deemed “unacceptable” by Harry Kane.
As the Brazil players celebrated Richarlison’s goal, a banana was thrown at them from the crowd. Meanwhile, FIFA declared the next day that they will be looking into the incident.
After the game, Richarlison stated on social media that the situation would persist until a severe punishment was imposed by football authorities like FIFA.
We are disgusted by the racist abuse of Richarlison at last night’s game between Brazil and Tunisia. This has no place in football, or anywhere.

“I haven’t seen Richarlison and had a chance to talk about the racism that he suffered against Tunisia, I think FIFA have said they are going to investigate and find out what happened.
“But normally, that kind of thing is unacceptable. I think we’re doing all and much as we can do as players to kick out [racism] as much as possible.
“I hope FIFA can be strong and find out who done it, making sure the right consequences are made.”
Kane added that he is happy to play alongside Richarlison at Spurs, following his summer transfer from Everton.
