Manchester City midfielder, Rodri is reportedly not shutting all doors for potential transfer away from the Etihad as Real Madrid are believed to be keen on the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner.
Rodri has been speaking to several Spanish publications recently despite being sidelined since September due to an ACL injury.
Every interview has focused on the midfielder’s personal achievements, which earned him the Ballon d’Or last month.

The City star visited Cadena Ser’s El Larguero on Thursday to talk about a number of subjects while holding the Ballon d’Or award.
The Spain international has been a vital part of Pep Guardiola’s team since joining the Manchester club from Atletico Madrid in 2019. He was questioned about his plans to play in the Premier League until the end of his contract, which expires in 2027.
According to Sport Witness, the 28-year-old said he’s loving life at Manchester City in response to that.
“I’m not one to set myself very long-term goals, I’m going day by day, but it could be a possibility to end up there. I love football in England, the club is amazing, not only on a sporting level, but also on a structural level,” he said.
“I’m very comfortable and feel very much loved, but Spain is my country. I’m keeping an eye on La Liga, the level of the teams is growing… I’ve been lucky enough to play in both competitions, to have the best coaches and in that sense I’m very happy.”
Over a possible move to Real Madrid, Rodri said: “When Real Madrid call you, the best club in history, the most successful, everything that means… Obviously, it’s an honour and you always have to pay attention, of course,” Rodri explained.
