Roma and Sampdoria tipped to bid for struggling Kean

Roma and Sampdoria are reportedly set to offer Everton striker Moise Kean the chance of a return to Italy when the transfer window opens again in January. AC Milan were linked to Kean earlier this week after it emerged the 19-year-old had been struggling to settle on Merseyside following his £27million summer arrival from Juventus.
Roma and Sampdoria can now be added to the list of suitors, according to the Italian media, with the Giallorossi having shown interest in the teenager last summer.
The Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Gianluca Petrachi would like to lure Kean to the Stadio Olimpico, which would bring him closer to his friend and previous Azzurrini teammate Nicolo Zaniolo.
Roma potentially hold another ace up their sleeve because of their good relationship with Kean’s agent, Mino Raiola, and the capital club are on the lookout for a long-term replacement for Edin Dzeko.
Roma are short on forward options right now because of injuries to Nikola Kalinic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan so they would no doubt be trying hard to persuade Everton to do a loan deal at the very least.
Tuttomercatoweb journalist Giovanni Albanese reported that Sampdoria, who are struggling for form this season and need more goals, are also making a move for the former Juventus starlet.
Kean has started just four matches this season, two in the Premier League and two in the Carabao Cup, and he was substituted at half-time in his last appearance against Watford.
He was omitted from Marco Silva’s matchday squad for Saturday’s win at Southampton after being late for a team meeting – and his poor timekeeping has also seen him axed by Italy in the past.
Silva did not want to make an issue of the disciplinary measure and, when asked at Southampton why Kean had been omitted, the Toffees boss would only say it was “a decision, just a decision”.
Yet, despite poor performances and poor timekeeping, Everton are understood to be reluctant to give up on Kean so early into his Toffees career.
