Roma are reportedly on the verge to sign Leeds United defender, Rasmus Kristensen in the summer transfer window. The 25-year-old will become the second player to leave the club for Roma after Diego Llorente seals a loan move to I Giallorossi.
The Spaniard only saw little action during a six-month stay in Italy last season. But Roma decided to go all in with a second stint.
Fabrizio Romano now claims that Rasmus Kristensen will join Roma’s defensive ranks soon.
The 25-year-old Denmark international was acquired from RB Salzburg for about £10 million last summer. While playing as a wing-back in Austria, Kristensen succeeded. Nevertheless, the going was considerably tougher in the Premier League.
According to Romano, Kristensen will now sign a season-long loan with Roma for the 2023–24 season. It wasn’t made clear if there would be an option or obligation to buy the player.
The deal is agreed upon on both the player’s and the club’s ends, according to the transfer expert. Therefore, a medical is the only thing left to do before the move is approved.
West Ham United striker, Gianluca Scamacca is another player who would dearly wish to move to Rome with Llorente and Kristensen.
The Italy international spent time in Roma’s youth divisions from 2012 to 2015. He was born in the Italian capital.

In an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb, the 24-year-old spoke about Roma and his love for the Italian capital. He also spoke about his desire to play for Mourinho’s team.

“I have always reasoned with my heart and I will continue to do so too in the future,” said Scamacca
“For me, Rome is home, and Totti, my childhood idol.
“What player in the world wouldn’t dream of being coached by Mourinho? I am convinced that Mourinho would stimulate me and I would improve even more with him.”
