Roma are reportedly interested in signing Hector Bellerin and have identified the Barcelona defender as a potential transfer target for January.
After spells at Arsenal and Real Betis, the right-back returned to his boyhood club in the summer to provide cover in that position.
The 27-year-old has yet to establish himself as a regular option for Xavi, appearing in three starts and two substitute appearances in La Liga and the Champions League.
One of the Spaniard’s three starts came in a European dead rubber against Viktoria Plzen, and it’s been speculated that he might leave Camp Nou before the end of the season.
According to Calciomercato, Roma are keeping an eye on the issue as Jose Mourinho appears to be focused on signing a new right-back.
Earlier this week, the Portuguese stated that one of the 16 players who appeared in the 1-1 tie against Sassuolo will be ‘searching for a new team in January.’
Despite the club’s refusal to name the player, it has been widely claimed that it was Rick Karsdorp who assisted Sassuolo’s equaliser, and Roma may require a new right wing-back.

With Diogo Dalot no longer accessible after establishing himself at Manchester United, Bellerin is believed to be on Roma and Mourinho’s radar.
Because Bellerin’s contract expires in less than a year, Roma will be able to begin talks about a pre-contract deal in January.
However, it is claimed that discussions regarding a mid-season move are more likely, with Mourinho requiring competition for Zeki Celik.
Roma presently sits in seventh place in Serie A, two points behind Juventus, who has lately climbed into the top four.
