Arsenal chances of signing Dani Olmo have improved significantly, as Barcelona struggles to obtain the midfielder’s permanent registration.
According to Fabrizio Romano’s report on X, Barcelona’s latest petition to register Olmo and fellow signing Pau Víctor has been refused.
This decision makes Olmo’s future unknown, with the player potentially becoming a free agent on January 1, 2025, if the issues are not resolved.
The root of the problem is Barcelona’s financial difficulties. Strict La Liga salary cap laws have prohibited the team from satisfying the requirements for Olmo’s full registration.
While the 26-year-old has been playing under temporary status, a recent court verdict rejected Barcelona’s petition to establish his position.
