Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken out about his Manchester United exit, blasting the media of “telling lies.” The Portuguese’s future has been uncertain since the start of the transfer window.
Due to ‘personal reasons,’ he did not attend United’s pre-season tour to Bangkok and Australia and was even chastised for departing the club’s pre-season friendly against Rayo Vallecano at half-time.
Since then, reports have surfaced suggesting that the legendary striker wishes to leave Old Trafford in order to compete in the Champions League.
Ronaldo has said that he will have an interview in a few weeks and reveal the “truth” about his future.
Cristiano Ronaldo To Reveal Details Of Manchester United’s Future
Responding to a fan on Instagram, Ronaldo wrote, “They know the truth when they interview in a couple of weeks. The media is telling lies.
“I have a notebook and in the last few months of the 100 news [stories written], only five were right. Imagine how it is. Stick with that tip.”

Ronaldo’s outburst came after United had one of the worst starts in Premier League history, finishing at the bottom of the standings.
Man United started the current Premier League season with a 2-1 defeat to Brighton at Old Trafford, followed by a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Brentford last week.

Erik ten Hag’s team is already in crisis despite only two games into the season.
Ronaldo’s expressions during games also reflect how frustrated he is with his teammates.
Unlike other United players, he seemed to refuse to clap the travelling fans after the game against Brentford.
If he continues at Old Trafford, Ten Hag will have a striker capable of scoring 20 goals every season.
However, his departure will compel the Dutchman to seek for an elite forward capable of leading the line.
Given their disastrous start to the season and inability to deliver Champions League football, it appears unlikely that they will be able to attract a world-class attacker.
Ronaldo’s latest comments suggest that he is not as eager to leave as the media has suggested. But why can’t he bury the hatchet now rather than waiting a few weeks?
