Cristiano Ronaldo is eyeing another decade of dominance.
The Real Madrid superstar believes he can play on for another 10 years – taking him past his 40th birthday.
However, the three time Ballon d’Or winner has begun looking to the future and on Sunday night took to the streets of Lisbon to open the second of his Pestana CR7 hotels.
As fans lined the streets to catch a glimpse of the Euro 2016-winning captain, Ronaldo spoke of his plans away from football, which includes opening two more hotels – in Madrid and New York – next year.
“Life is not just about football,” Ronaldo said.
“Although football is my grand passion, I must start to think about the future.
“I don’t have many years left, about 10 more or less, so I must look to the future.”
Ronaldo flew back to Lisbon, along with his son, mother and agent Jorge Mendes, immediately after Real Madrid’s 1-1 draw with Eibar on Sunday afternoon.
On Monday morning he was set to link up with the Portugal squad for the first time since their Euro 2016 triumph, and coach Fernando Santos was in attendance at the launch, offering his support.
“I have known Cristiano Ronaldo since he was 18 years old. He is a person of great quality, with a huge will to win.
“He is a man with his head in the right place and a great guy.”
“When I was young I had the dream of having my own hotel,” declared Ronaldo.
“Now I have two, and I am proud it is in Lisbon. I couldn’t not have a hotel in Lisbon, a city which is a part of my history.”
