Ronaldo tells fans to stop whistling at him after Real Madrid’s “fair” victory

Cristiano Ronaldo asked fans to stop whistling at him after Real Madrid‘s “fair” victory over Bayern Munich.

Ronaldo scored a perfect hat-trick to send Real Madrid through to the semi-finals of the Champions League but was not happy when fans appeared to turn on him when Bayern looked in control of the tie.

The Portuguese star singled out the Bernabeu crowd after becoming the first player in Champions League history to score 100 goals in the competition in Madrid’s 4-2 win.

“Bayern showed that they were an excellent team, but we played very well,” he told told Antena 3 after the game, as reported by Football Espana.

“We had a lot of chances. We scored two goals. We’re used to suffering, but we’re very happy.”

There were question marks over two of Real Madrid’s goals as Ronaldo appeared to be in offside positions, but the 32-year-old saw his side as “fair winners” on the night.

“Madrid were better, it’s not easy to score six goals against Bayern. We’re fair winners,” he added.

“I only ask that [the fans] don’t whistle me because I always do my best, I work and help Real Madrid.

“I’ll stick with the good things, the team were very good, we played very well.”

Ronaldo registered five shots at goal, registered a 91% pass accuracy, lost all four of his take-on attempts and made two interceptions against Bayern.
