Rossoneri linked with Lallana switch

AC Milan are reportedly preparing a move for out-of-favour Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana. The England playmaker has barely featured for Liverpool this season after dropping down the pecking order under Jurgen Klopp.
Originally signed by Brendan Rodgers in the summer of 2014, he had established himself as one of the most important figures at Anfield after Klopp took over from the Northern Irishman.
However, in August 2017, he suffered a long-term injury in their Audi Cup pre-season match against Atletico Madrid and although he came back fit five months later, he was never able to regain his place on a regular basis.
The emergence of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane along with Roberto Firmino, as well as the form of the likes of Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum, means playing time has been very limited for the 31-year-old.
His only appearance so far this season has been in their 2-0 victory against MK Dons in the third round of the Carabao Cup, in which Klopp used a host of fringe players and youngsters.
Lallana’s contract is due to expire at the end of the season and while the Reds have the option to extend his deal a further year, there appears to be little movement on that front.
Milan are now thought to be entering the race for his signature as he will be available for a cut-price fee in January.
The San Siro outfit are struggling in Serie A and have just brought in Stefano Pioli to replace Marco Giampaolo as manager.
Lazio are also thought to be in the running his signature with ex-Liverpool colleague Lucas Leiva at the club, but Milan are understood to be the frontrunners.
