The next United manager begins work with the Red Devils on Monday, following Sunday’s 3-0 victory over Leicester, the final of Van Nistelrooy’s four games in caretaker control.
Van Nistelrooy, an ex-United striker, joined his former club as an assistant coach in July before taking over as manager between Erik ten Hag’s dismissal last month and Amorim’s shift from Sporting Lisbon to Old Trafford this week.According to Standard.co.uk.

Van Nistelrooy wishes to remain at United, but Amorim has already stated his desire to bring Sporting aides Emanuel Ferro, Adelio Candido, and Carlos Fernandes with him to Manchester.
Van Nistelrooy played 219 games for United from 2001 to 2006, collecting 150 goals.
Speaking on Sunday following Sporting’s 4-2 victory over Braga in his final match, Amorim said of Van Nistelrooy: “About a club legend, he did a great job.” I have to talk to him today [Monday].
“Then I’ll explain everything.” I am extremely straightforward, and I will explain you how it is. “Let’s wait until tomorrow,” he said, implying that he has already decided whether to keep Van Nistelrooy on as a coach.
After the 3-0 victory over the Foxes, Van Nistelrooy refused to discuss his own future.
He stated, “I can only describe that moment, how I felt, and as the end of this block of four games, it felt like a close for that period, and the future is open.”
“That is the way I felt it. It was a beautiful moment to be able to share that with the supporters and it was special.”
