Ruben Amorim Speaks Out As Marcus Rashford Returns To Manchester United Squad

Ruben Amorim has acknowledged that the comeback of Marcus Rashford to Manchester United team for Monday night’s Premier League match against Newcastle is due to unavailability of some Man United players.

The striker Rashford missed the Red Devils’ victories over Manchester City, Tottenham, Bournemouth, and Wolves when Amorim benched him for four straight games.

Rashford has returned for the match against the Magpies at Old Trafford following that dismal run of three losses, with Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte banned and Mason Mount out once again.

Despite being benched for Monday night’s match, the 27-year-old is eager to show Amorim what he has been missing.

After selecting the forward once more, Amorim told Sky Sports: “Selection, and we have a lot of players out.

So like I said every week, I choose my players, he was there to be chosen and this time he’s here.”

Amorim is having a very difficult start to his career at Manchester United, winning just four of his first ten games in charge while attempting to stick to his preferred 3-4-3 system, reports Metro.

Despite the poor results, he says he has no intention of abandoning that lineup.
