Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez has revealed that his team-mates tell him every day that he’s an important player. Furthermore, the Chilean also insisted that he’s “really happy” at the club.
Sanchez has been the Gunners’ outstanding performer in the Premier League this season – he has scored 14 goals and has created 56 chances for his team-mates.
Capable of performing effectively whether deployed up front or out wide, the 28-year-old is fast, skilful and a clinical finisher.
Sanchez told Arsenal’s YouTube channel: “I definitely feel like an important player and my team-mates let me know every day. I try to prove that I am an important player every day and game after game. I believe we have the players and the quality to win many things.
“I feel really happy and comfortable at the club. I want to give the fans a new title. We always get our fans’ support in the thick and thin, which is great. We must win the Premier League or Champions League for them.”
There remains much uncertainty about Sanchez’s long-term future, with the 28-year-old’s current contract set to expire at the end of next season.
For now, though, Sanchez is continuing to make a considerable contribution for Arsenal, as he did at the weekend when he was on target in the Gunners’ 4-0 victory over Swansea City.
Arsenal are fully aware that they can ill afford to suffer many more setbacks if they are to stand a chance of winning the Premier League title this season – they are currently in fourth place in the table, eight points adrift of leaders Chelsea.
