Manchester United are reportedly set to demand between £40-£50 million to part ways with on loan attacker, Jadon Sancho this summer.
However, by doing this, the Red Devils may be able to force Sancho to stay put and force an awkward reunion with Erik ten Hag.
This winter, United sent the 23-year-old winger back to Borussia Dortmund, ending a four-month exile from Ten Hag’s team.
Sancho appears to be enjoying his football once more. He has made three appearances for the Black and Yellow so far, contributing one assist.
Sebastian Kehl, the sporting director of Dortmund, has already stated that it is highly unlikely that he will stay past the summer.
According to the Daily Express, Pete O’Rourke, a transfer correspondent, reports that United plan to request up to £50 million from interested clubs for Sancho at the end of the current campaign.
Additionally, Dortmund and other suitors find the England international’s £250,000-per-week salary to be challenging to match. This nearly prevented him from leaving Old Trafford in January.
After moving to United from Dortmund for £73 million in 2021, Sancho’s value has drastically decreased. However, the club are believed to be eager to recover the majority of that cost.

Before January, the exiled star was reportedly being pursued by Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq as one of the Saudi Pro League’s most recent high-profile signings.
Nevertheless, the agreement fell through when United suggested loaning the player with a buyout clause worth £50 million, allowing Dortmund to pull the deal through.
