Sancho Sends Brutal One Word Message To Rashford Following Aston Villa Debut

Jadon Sancho reportedly sent a brutally honest message to his former teammate, Marcus Rashford after making his Aston Villa debut on Sunday.

The 27-year-old earned his first game since departing Old Trafford during the January transfer window, coming off the bench for the Villains in their 2-1 FA Cup victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

After being ousted by new manager Ruben Amorim following United’s 2-1 Europa League victory against Viktoria Plzen in early December, the game was his first competitive appearance in 59 days.

The England international would then go on record to say that he wanted a new challenge, which further raised questions about his future with the team.

Since then, Rashford has only appeared in one matchday squad, that being the loss to Newcastle United in the Premier League, but he remained as a substitute.

On Sunday night, Rashford made his first appearance for the team one week after signing a contract, and the Villa supporters welcomed him with open arms.

The forward replaced fellow newcomer Donyell Malen in the 65th minute and touched the ball 22 times, each time eliciting cheers from the home crowd.

According to ManchesterEveningNews, Rashford took to Instagram to thank his new fanbase for the support, sharing six photos with the caption: “Thank you for the warm welcome. Great team performance.”
