Jose Mourinho has reportedly been offered a two-year contract worth more than £100m to manage the Saudi Arabia national team.
Mourinho would become the highest-paid manager in history if the Saudi FA’s deal with him goes through.
Mourinho is currently under contract with Roma until 2024, but regular clashes between himself and the board mean he could leave before then.
Yet, if he accepts the offer to lead the Saudi national team, the manager may be required to depart Rome sooner.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the 60-year-old manager would be earning €60m per yeae for two seasons, with the option to terminate the contract at the end of the first year or extend it until 2026.
Mourinho is yet to be offered an extension by Roma, who are said to be considering their options before proposing one.
He apparently wishes to meet with the club’s owners and wants clarity on his future during the current season, not at the end.
If he remains in charge, the manager has also stated that he would like to add a striker, midfielder, and defense in the summer.

Mourinho was linked with the Portugal national team job in the winter after Fernando Santos left the Selecao. He chose to stay with Roma since he is on track to win his second trophy with the Giallorossi, the UEFA Europa League, after winning the Conference League title last season.
Mourinho might have to decide on his future in the summer, but until then, he has a Serie A match against Torino on Saturday to prepare for.
