According to Caughtoffisde, Chelsea sent scouts to watch Leny Yoro play because the 18-year-old is regarded as Thiago Silva’s long-term replacement at the team.
HITC reports that Chelsea sent scouts to watch the 18-year-old in action and will now intensify their efforts to sign Leny Yoro.
Even though there are other teams vying for the Lille player, the Blues’ actions could give them an advantage over Manchester United and Liverpool.
Chelsea scouts reportedly witnessed Lille’s exciting draw with Montpellier. Yoro, who is eighteen, put on an incredible display to make the trip worthwhile, even though it was assumed that the London team’s observers were focusing on striker Jonathan David.
In the second half, with Lille reduced to 10 men, Yoro played a strong defensive shift to preserve a clean sheet and earn his team a point.
Over the past few months, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Liverpool have all expressed interest in Yoro; however, the London team is attempting to pass them.
Chelsea is interested in the 18-year-old because they believe he is the best long-term replacement for seasoned defender Thiago Silva. It would be prudent to terminate his current contract before he even considers staying on with Lille, as it expires in the summer of 2025.

The Blues would like to go one better than their rivals, but Liverpool and Manchester United are willing to battle it out for the young defender. The increased competition for the Lille defender will only drive up the already exorbitant price.
