Manchester City midfielder, Bernardo Silva is reportedly waiting for FC Barcelona to make a summer move to sign him from the club.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the 28-year-old is willing to move to the Catalan club ahead of the 2023/24 season.
The Catalans’ forbidden fruit in 2022 was the Portuguese. During periods when they were short on cash, they had to use a variety of “economic levers” to sign players like Raphinha, Jules Kounde, and Robert Lewandowski.
Barca again attempted to get Silva late in the last summer transfer window, but to no effect.
Selling Frenkie de Jong to City crosstown rivals Manchester United was essential to the prospective coup.
According to The Athletic, Barca reportedly offered between €70 and €100 million for Silva. And accepted an offer of €85 million for De Jong.
And while Mundo Deportivo reveals this week that the Catalan giants will try to sign Silva once more. And that the player is waiting for the La Liga giants to make their move.
According to reports, Silva “continues to dream of wearing” Blaugrana shirt. And recognizes that his agent Jorge Mendes and ally in Barca President Joan Laporta are negotiating a potential transfer.

He has given up on alternative suggestions, which are pouring in from Saudi Arabia and Paris Saint-Germain at a rapid pace. And is prepared to press for a transfer to Catalonia if necessary.
The 28-year-old anticipates the La Liga champions to strike quickly and not wait until the end of the window to do so. But how they will accomplish this given their financial struggles is the crucial question.
