Due to a busy schedule for Sevilla, Sampaoli was forced into making seven changes following their goalless draw with Juventus in the Champions League.
However, he did make two further changes in the second half as Vicente Iborra and Vitolo were both brought on from the bench, meaning Sampaoli eventually used three Spanish players in total.
