Sevilla have officially signed left-back Alex Telles on a season-long loan from Manchester United.
The La Liga club is said to have agreed to pay the Brazilian’s full salary, but there is no option to buy him next summer.
Telles is Julen Lopetegui’s second summer signing, following the arrival of compatriot Marcao from Galatasaray for roughly £10m.
Telles’ arrival has been announced by Sevilla on their official website and social media platforms, while Telles has announced his temporary move to Los Rojiblancos on Twitter.
The defender wrote on twitter: “VAMOS! I am honored by this opportunity. I arrive with a lot of desire to add and get the best possible results for Sevilla. I can’t wait to debut and be able to help my teammates.”

How Well Did Telles Play At Man United?
Telles joined Manchester United for about £15m in the summer of 2020 after four years with Portuguese giants Porto.
The left-back has made 50 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions, with one goal and eight assists. His lone goal came against Villarreal in a 2-1 Champions League group-stage win in September of last year.
Telles struggled to get off to a good start last season due to injury, but after the hiring of Ralf Rangnick as temporary head coach in November, the Brazilian played consistently at left-back.
During the 2021-22 season, Telles featured in 26 games across all tournaments, including 21 Premier League matches.
The former Galatasaray and Inter Milan midfielder was a member of Erik ten Hag’s team on United’s pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia, and he played the entire 90 minutes of their 1-1 draw with Rayo Vallecano at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The left-back, however, appears to be redundant under United’s new Dutch manager, as summer signings Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw are now vying for the left-back position, while Lisandro Martinez can also play on the left side if necessary.
