Seymour switch has Rennie’s full support

Glasgow Warriors head coach Dave Rennie is confident Scotland winger Tommy Seymour will do a good job at full-back against Zebre. The Warriors welcome back a host of Scotland internationals following their ill-fated World Cup in Japan, with the likes of Fraser Brown, Zander Fagerson, Scott Cummings, Ryan Wilson, George Horne, Adam Hastings, Sam Johnson and Seymour all handed starts. Seymour has been selected in a somewhat unfamiliar position at full-back but having played the odd game there previously, Rennie has no issue selecting the experienced back there for the trip to Zebre on Saturday. “We’re keen to get some of the international boys some footy before Europe and freshen up a handful of guys who have played quite a bit for us recently,” he told the club’s official website. “Tommy (Seymour) played well for us at 15 in a big game in Europe last season, and we feel he has the skill set to put in another strong performance in the position this weekend. “Zebre are a handful. We’re well aware of the threats they pose. They’re prepared to play a bit of rugby and have a smart kicking game, so we’ll have to be alert to all of that.”
