Supporter Q&As are a regular occurrence on the social media channels of Premier League football clubs as they offer fans a glimpse into the lives of their heroes.
But there was nothing ordinary about the interview Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph gave to the club’s YouTube channel when he sat down to answer questions sent in by supporters.
The 26-year-old shocked the presenter and viewers when he made the startling revelation about five minutes into the video that he has regular experiences with the super natural.
Delph brazenly admits that he’s had encounters with poltergeists when asked how he would react if he saw a ghost.
‘I see ghosts all the time,’ he told the club’s YouTube channel. The presenter looks at the City midfielder with a disbelieving grin on her face before Delph continues.
‘Genuinely. I think I’ve seen four. When I first signed for Villa I stayed in a hotel and there were a lot of things moving in the room. A lot of bangs – it made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
‘And about four months ago in my house I saw two ghosts in the bedroom. I haven’t got a clue (who they are). I don’t think they’re there to harm me but I’ve definitely seen them.
‘I just stared there with my quilt up. It was just a split second and they were gone.
‘The one four moths ago, that was actually carrying a body and it went out on to my balcony and disappeared.’

Making light of the situation the video then plays the famous clip from the film Sixth Sense when the boy whispers ‘I see dead people’.
