Silva welcomes “good headache” regarding selection

Everton manager Marco Silva says it is a relief to have more options available to him for Saturday’s game with Brighton. The Toffees boss is preparing to welcome back Fabian Delph, Morgan Schneiderlin, and Seamus Coleman to his squad for their trip to the south coast to take on Graham Potter’s team.
Delph and Schneiderlin both missed Everton’s 2-0 home win against West Ham – a much-needed boost for the job prospects of Silva – through injury.
Coleman was suspended for the clash following his red card in the 1-0 loss to Burnley just before the international break, having received two yellow cards at Turf Moor.
Everton have had a poor start to the season given the expectations placed upon them but the win against the Hammers showcased the positives of their game.
Silva was forced into using players who have not figured much this season, including academy product Tom Davies who impressed in midfield.
Theo Walcott and Djibril Sidibe were also handed rare starts as they combined down the right-hand side.
The Portuguese boss has welcomed the trio back to the squad and says there will be some tough calls ahead of Saturday’s match. “It’s a good headache,” said Silva. “It’s what I want. When this happens and we achieve good results, when players get their chance and they perform well and help the team, it’s a very good thing for me as a coach. “I like to have these types of headaches. That means the players on the bench have the quality to play and are working hard to play. It’s up to them to keep working and, after, you can have your plan for the match.”
Everton go to Brighton seeking their first away point since the opening day of the season when they drew 0-0 with Crystal Palace.
They have, however, been dealt a blow with the news that Yerry Mina is a serious doubt because of a knee injury.
The Colombian picked it up in the final moments of the Hammers game and he was withdrawn from action.
