Sinfield hails departing Ferres

Leeds Rhinos director of rugby Kevin Sinfield hailed the efforts of Brett Ferres after the forward completed his move to Featherstone. The former England international, who was out of contract at Headingley this winter, has decided to move on to the Championship outfit ahead of the new campaign. With Ferres helping Leeds win their last Super League Grand Final in 2017, Sinfield has thanked the 33-year-old for his efforts and wished the former Huddersfield Giants second-rower all the best for the future. “Brett has been a great servant to the Rhinos over the last four seasons and was a key player in us winning the Grand Final in 2017,” he told the club website. “I would like to thank Brett for his hard work, commitment and everything he has given the club. “He leaves the Rhinos with all our best wishes for the future at Feathestone and will remain a good friend of the club.”
