Sofyan Amrabat, a 26-year-old Fiorentina midfielder and Moroccan international, is reportedly in advanced discussions with Atlético de Madrid, according a report from L’Équipe this morning.
Los Colchoneros are reportedly leading the race to sign the highly-rated defensive midfielder, who took the 2022 World Cup by storm with his all-action displays.
He was vital as the Atlas Lions became the first African team to reach the semi-finals of the competition.
Amrabat has been previously linked with a move to Barcelona and several high-profile Premier League clubs. Interestingly, Amrabat had long hoped that he’d get his dream Barcelona move.
