Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea are reportedly set to lose Southampton defender Tino Livramento to Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United.
According to The Guardian, Newcastle United are poised to sign former Chelsea right-back Tino Livramento from Southampton in the summer transfer window.
According to the report, Southampton, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, are close to selling “Livramento to Newcastle for about £30m.”
The 20-year-old is now “expected” to sign with Newcastle, despite The Guardian’s assertion that “Chelsea inserted a buyback clause when they sold Livramento” to Southampton.
Earlier this month, The Daily Mail reported that Chelsea and Southampton were in talks about a possible move for the England star.
The England Under-21 international is a very good and dynamic right-back who would get better and improve further if he continues to play regularly.
